I was feeling hopeless as I explained my long-standing low back problems to Dr. Bolick. Other medical and chiropractic doctors relieved pain over the years of course. Dr. Bolick has designed a process that does much more than inform and treat clients effectively and efficiently. The Bolick Clinic staff is a team. I am a member of the team. Our goal is to give me the best chance possible to enjoy my senior years. I am involved and inspired as a participant. My life is forever changed!

I began seeing Dr. Bolick on Feb 28 of 2005. I had severe back and leg pain that radiates from my back to my leg with numbness and aching. I’ve had severe back pain and leg pain for over a year. I’ve seen several emergency room doctors and a number of physicians for my back pain. I’ve taken Lortab and heavy pain medications. I haven’t been able to work in over one year or even do my daily housework. I was also involved in a serious car accident a few weeks into my initial treatment which further injured my back and neck. Dr. Bolick was able to change my treatment plan to handle these new injuries and it was a success. Today I feel much better and now I’m able to return to work soon. I really believe in chiropractic care because of the way it changed my life.

The problem I was having daily constant was lower back pain. I was previously diagnosed with degenerative disc disease. I was also having a lot of pain in my right hip joint. I suffered with back pain for at least 8 years and at least 4 years with the hip. I had previous medical treatment. I saw an orthopedic surgeon where pain med and home exercise was prescribed. I saw another orthopedic surgeon when I moved to the Orlando area; I was again given medication and instructed to go to physical therapy. When I went PT I was given home exercises again, but this treatment only made me worse. The surgeon then told me that since the PT did not work that the next step would be injections and then surgery. I just didn’t feel comfortable letting someone cut on my back since the surgeon said my hip again was caused by disc degeneration and drugging me up to disguise the pain wasn’t going to happen either.

The pain in my hip was so intense that it impaired my normal way of life. I used to walk 2 miles per day and now it was very difficult to do the simplest tasks like: walk the dog, shipping, and cleaning my house. Simply being on my feet for any period was excruciating.

I started my chiropractic care with Dr. Bolick in February 2006 and now I’m pain free after just a few months of treatment. I am very impressed with the care I have received. At one point I was ready to give it all up, but Dr. Bolick reassured me that he could help me and everything would be fine, he was right! I’m ashamed of myself for doubting he could help me. I’m sorry Dr. Bolick, you are the best!!

I made a wise decision to seek treatment at the Bolick Clinic. Thank you Dr. Bolick and the entire staff, you are all great.

Six months ago Marian had a severe fall in which she badly sprained her spine, confining her to her bed and wheelchair. Today, with the aid of her walker, she walks.

My mother is 94 years old this year and has always lived a healthy lifestyle. Marian never smoked or drank liquor. She always believed in healthy foods and was physically active as an exerciser and swimmer. However, time has taken its toll on her healthy body, giving her a major problem of balancing herself as she tries to walk. Dr. Bolick has treated Marian for four years, during which time he has helped her regain her health from several slight falls.

However, this last fall left her totally dependent on others for all her needs and I saw first-hand the mental decline it caused. Marian seemed to go into despair as she wanted nothing to do with her first love, painting. As a retired art professor, her life has been all about drawing and painting. She also lost all desire to go anywhere or be with anyone. And gone were all the family stories she has shared with me over the years. It was hard to talk to her, let alone get her to agree to Dr. Bolick’s help in having Matthew oversee a physical therapy for her. I am sure it has not been easy, but everyone at the Bolick Clinic has made sure that Marian has had the care that she has needed.

I am happy to say that after her visits with Dr. Bolick and Matthew, Marian is walking again, with the aid of her walker. And I am truly amazed at how her great personality has come back to us. I have not experienced anyone making such a full recovery as she has. Once again she is happy to see is on the morning. She is actually cheerful again. I am delighted to say that she is again sharing long-ago family secrets with me. I must also mention that this morning she admired the beautiful red flowers sitting in a tall vase next to her bed, and she told me she wanted to paint a lovely picture of them. Life is good.

The chiropractic care Marian receives from Dr. Bolick and the physical therapy she receives from Matthew have been true lifesavers in giving her the change she deserves at this stage of her life.

I moved to Florida in 2002 with my family. While looking for a job I found an ad for Dr. Bolick’s office. I had always worked in the medical field and being curious about chiropractic I applied for the job. I enjoyed the family atmosphere as soon as I entered the office. Once I started working with Dr. Bolick I learned many new things. I had very little knowledge about chiropractic and all the benefits, but quickly realized how amazing our bodies were.

After working for only a few short weeks, the school called and told me my daughter was sick with pains in her stomach and needed to go to the hospital. I went to Dr. Bolick, nervous that I would have to pick up my daughter and spend hours in the emergency room and pray she didn’t need surgery. He told me to bring her back to the office. I did and he examined her, took some X-rays and adjusted her spine. After 45 minutes she started to feel better. He adjusted her one more time and before I knew it she was jumping around the waiting area. I brought her back to school where the nurse and her teachers couldn’t believe that she had made such a quick recovery! Andrea has a condition called “functional mega-colon” and has been told that she would need surgery to correct it but has been able to avoid that surgery. Then when I was pregnant with my third child, my doctor told me that being adjusted helped me be able to carry my son to term (my first 2 were born premature). Just when I thought that chiropractic had changed my point of view I couldn’t believe how it helped my son. He was just 4 weeks old and had a fever, Dr. Bolick adjusted him gently and his fever went away within the hour. Connor has been diagnosed with asthma and allergies but has been able to do things that most children with these conditions cannot. I feel that being adjusted early on and following up has made the difference for him.

After working with Dr. Bolick and seeing so many patients come in with so many different health concerns and watching their progress it has proved to be a very rewarding job.

In May of 2003 I had to move back to New Jersey to help take care of my mom. After 2 years my husband and I talked my mom into moving here to Florida. I called Dr. Bolick and told him I would be moving back to Maitland and he had a position open up so I moved back in December 2005.

Since then he has adjusted my other children, my husband, an aunt, a cousin and many of my friends. I feel blessed that not only has chiropractic helped me and my family feel better but we have avoided surgery and drugs. Because I had been working for medical doctors for 9 yrs I had been “brainwashed” to think that medicine cured it all. I now know that there are natural ways to help the body heal itself. I love helping people and feel very proud to work with Dr. Bolick, his staff and the many patients that have made me feel like family here in Florida.

I came to see Dr. Bolick because of severe sciatic pain in my legs. My walking, already difficult and painful because of osteo-arthritis affecting my knees, had become so bad that I could not take any steps without using a walker. After diagnosis and several treatments which eased the symptoms, Dr. Bolick prescribed a series of treatments along with physical therapy. Although the ongoing treatments were effectively dealing with my sciatic problem, they were doing little to change the arthritis problem in my knees. However, the physical therapy sessions were making a difference. I began learning to do simple exercises designed to reduce knee swelling and pain and increase mobility. Although I have since been released from PT, I have continued doing the exercises at home and in the pool. I am thankful for the physical therapy clinic and for the treatments and exercises I have learned.

I had back pain with pain down my left leg so severe I could not work, an experience I’ve never had in my life. After several weeks I tried walking, stretching and home remedies.

I am now back to work and my energy level is increasing daily. I also handled an unknown problem in my neck and have better hearing, no funny noise in my ears when I lay down, my voice is clearer (can even sing easier). I hope that (even at my age) I can retain my quality of life, movement and strong healthy body into the future so I can do whatever I want to do.

Chiropractic helped me:

Improve my work performance.
Sing easily again.
Have better hearing.
Have No low back pain anymore.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bolick since December of 2001 when I needed immediate chiropractic care. Due to a previous injury to my neck I was having severe nerve tingling in my right arm and I couldn’t even hold a full cup of coffee in that hand. Over the course of this past year Dr. Bolick has brought back the full strength of my hand and I no longer have the nerve sensations that were constantly bothering me.

I believe that the care that I received at the Bolick Clinic was highly successful for me and I would encourage anyone with similar problems to see Dr. Bolick for an evaluation.
